The suffix LUM in the name stands for 'lumière' (light) and refers to one of the fundamental qualities of Bell & Ross watches, known for their optimal legibility. These models with their cases in micro-bead-blasted steel or matt ceramic possess extraordinary display qualities thanks to the use of Superluminova C3, a display that is typical for Bell & Ross and whose effectiveness is now well proven. Superluminova C3, reminiscent of one of the historical tritium colours of vintage military watches, does not degrade over time, has no radioactive contraindications and retains its daytime colour consistently. The charge and discharge cycles of its brightness can follow one another indefinitely without ever altering its effectiveness. Superluminova C3 also recharges quickly with photoluminescence and has extraordinary luminous intensity. The duration of light restitution on the hands, indexes and numerals is significantly higher than with other types of Superluminova on the market, with unparalleled retention of photoluminescence. The latest addition to the LUM collection, the BR03-92 GREY LUM from Bell & Ross is characterised by optimal legibility thanks to the Superluminova C3 treatment, designed to facilitate reading both by day and by night. On its anthracite grey sunburst patterned dial with a rigorous design, the colour of the hands (hours and minutes), hour markers and large numerals (3, 6, 9, 12) in decal, is reminiscent of runway lighting: an intense green light known for its exceptional phosphorescence. This is made possible by the use of the green Superluminova C3, which, with a luminous intensity index of 100% , is the best in its category and allows easy reading of the time even at night. This year, Bell & Ross is presenting the BR03-92 GREY LUM with an anthracite dial and Superluminova C3, as the LUM theme is a genuine hallmark of the brand. The BR03-92 GREY LUM, designed according to the principles of industrial aesthetics, is based on a square case immediately reminiscent of aeronautical instruments and the world of aviation. Like all Bell & Ross watches, this new reference possesses the brand's DNA thanks to its minimalist design and the aforementioned excellent legibility guaranteed by the use of Superluminova C3 for the numerals, hour markers and hands on the dial. The design in the BR03-92 GREY LUM embodies the spirit of the instrument watches. The contemporary styled case takes up the 'circle within a square' concept, a hallmark of Bell & Ross, inspired by the profile of aircraft cabin watches. This new model features a polished and satin-finished steel case that gives it a sport-chic metropolitan air. The elegant anthracite grey dial with its soleil pattern catches the light and plays with its reflections. Powered by a self-winding Swiss Made mechanical movement, the BR03-92 GREY LUM is fitted with a grey-green velvety calfskin strap that echoes the colour of the treatment Superluminova C3.
