Powerful character for the Chronomat 44 Blacksteel, a new and captivating version of one of Breitling's iconic models. It stands out for its dark colouring, made possible by a series of ad hoc touches: first and foremost, the carbon-based coating on the case, made of steel; the black dial with tone-on-tone chronograph counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock; the numerals inlaid in the same shade rubber on the unidirectional rotating bezel; the anthracite-coloured hi-tech fabric of the strap. The total black look is enlivened by touches of red on the dial, represented by the totalizer hands and the chrono seconds hand in the centre. Guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 20 atmospheres, it is animated by a self-winding, in-house mechanical movement, Breitling calibre 01, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
