Calypso, a young brand of the Festina Group, has entered the world of sports sponsorship, a traditional activity for the Group's brands. Until next 27 October 2013, in fact, the House is sponsoring the Italian beach volleyball champion couple Casadei/Ficosecco at the following tournaments: Italian Beach Volleyball Championship, CEV European Beach Volleyball Championship, FIVB World Beach Volleyball Championship. The sponsorship takes shape through the presence, in full view, of the Calypso logo on the athletes' competition and training clothing and accessories. The Calypso brand is also visible on the web portals that support and follow the sports team. With this new initiative, the Festina Group involves another of its brands in the universe of sport, confirming its desire to associate its products with the most important sporting events on the Italian and international competitive scene. "Beach volleyball is the perfect debut for Calypso, which has always represented the young, fresh and colourful heart of our watchmaking collections. Beach volleyball means beach, summer, and summer brings the desire to wear colourful watches with a carefree appeal. The different tournaments that we will follow with our brand will allow us to present our brand in the most suitable context,' says Lucia Carbonato, marketing manager of the Festina Italia Group. Gianluca Casadei and Paolo Ficosecco are the reigning Italian champions. The athletes took the title by winning the final at the Lighthouse Beach in Jesolo last year. The athletes are coached by Brazilian James Martin.
