Perrelet's Turbine technology turns 10

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Turbine collection, Perrelet presents its new Turbine Evo. Evo stands for "evolution", as it is a watch offering improved technical performance. It features a sport-chic case and, for the first time, a metal bracelet as well as a newly developed automatic movement. And also for the first time - in its ten-year history - all the calibres mounted on this collection are Cosc-certified, testifying to their chronometric precision, attested to after subjecting the movement to a series of tests. The 44-millimetre-diameter case, crafted in steel and also available in a version with black PVD or 4N pink gold treatment, takes on a refined aesthetic thanks to its redesigned lugs, the redesigned bezel, now flat and smooth, and the new fluted case middle whose profile matches the bezel perfectly. Another stylistic novelty is its "free" crown (no longer recessed as in the past), which makes it easier to manage the watch's winding and time-setting functions. Visible beneath the sapphire crystal protecting the dial are the characteristic 12 blades, the distinctive code of all Perrelet's Turbine collections. The propeller, made of black anodised aluminium and fitted with five tungsten counterweights, which rotates freely following the movement of the wrist, reveals a sub-dial in vibrant shades of red, electric blue and gold depending on the version. The hours are indicated by even Arabic numerals, mixed with hour markers, and the hands are luminescent for optimal display in all light conditions. Finally, the central seconds hand picks up the colour of the dial. The movement is mechanical with automatic winding, calibre P-331, with 42 hours of power reserve, and is visible through the sapphire crystal opening in the case back. The watch is also available with an alligator-print calfskin strap, black for the steel and black PVD steel versions, brown for the 4 N pink gold PVD model, both with a personalised folding clasp engraved with the logo.
