Dior is focusing on materials and design this year. This is demonstrated by a model from the Grand Bal collection, equipped with the Dior Inversé automatic calibre, developed by Soprod exclusively for Dior, which positions the rotor on the dial side. The latter is covered with an inlay of beetle elytrons (the two front wings protecting it) with striking iridescent reflections. The oscillating weight evokes a work of modern art, with mother-of-pearl, gold, lacquer and baguette diamonds forming a spiral motif. With each movement of the wrist, an evocative, almost hypnotic lighting effect lights up. It is a unique piece with a white gold and diamond case and a yellow gold bezel with baguette-cut tsavorites.
