From March to September 2017, the Breitling DC-3, which is preparing to celebrate its 77th birthday, will be making a grand tour of the world in stages. This "World Tour", which will start in Geneva and end in Switzerland during the Breitling Sion Airshow 2017, will visit places such as the Middle East, India, South-East Asia and North America. Its circumnavigation will be punctuated by several stopovers for events and airshows. On some routes, a few privileged passengers will be welcomed on board. The Maison has also decided to mark the event with a 500-piece limited edition of its famous Navitimer aviation chronograph. It is the Navitimer 01 (46 mm) in steel, equipped with the Breitling manufacture calibre 01, which stands out by its caseback engraved with the Breitling DC-3 World Tour logo. The model will only be available from autumn 2017 and will come with a certificate signed by the captain of the plane making the round-the-world flight.
