Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2019

The 2019 edition of the Hong Kong Clock & Watch Fair will be held from 3 to 7 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The five-day fair will feature as many as 840 exhibitors from 23 countries/regions, including the new-entry represented by Qatar. Last year's event welcomed more than 21,000 visitors from all over the world. The fair is divided into several themed areas, including the Pageant of Eternity, which showcases the watch creations of around 160 exhibitors. In addition, manufacturers of wall clocks, machinery, packaging companies and trade services are also present. The area called Salon de Te houses some 140 brands and designers divided into five themed zones. Particularly important among these is the Wolrd Brand Piazza, which houses the creations of 13 internationally renowned houses, namely Blancpain, Breguet, Chopard, Corum, Franck Muller, Glashütte Original, Jacob & Co., Jaquet Droz, Juvenia, Parmigiani Fleurier, Piaget, Sarcar Genève and Zenith. The Chic & Trendy theme area covers mostly fashion watch manufacturers, including a'-tek (Germany), Cemeo (Hong Kong), Daumier (Switzerland), Van Gogh (Netherlands), Florian (Hong Kong) and Le Jour (Europe). In particular, Daumier presents this year's Justice League collection, whose design is inspired by six famous DC Comics superheroes, namely Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. Other noteworthy themed areas are the Craft Treasures, Renaissance Moment and Wearable Tech (dedicated to smartwatches). Several interesting conferences will also take place during the fair, such as the Hong Kong International Watch Forum, during which representatives from the world's leading watch associations will discuss the latest developments in the watch industry and the performance of global markets. Also noteworthy is the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, with 130 entries. The themes this year will be 'Abstract Wonder' for the student group and 'Fresh Start New Look' for the open group. The appointment is then set for 3 September, the opening day of the 38th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair.
