Time according to Urwerk

A new challenge in micromechanics for Martin Frei and Felix Baumgartner, founders of Urwerk, who with the UR-111C once again offer an original display of hours, minutes and seconds. The watch makes use of two displays arranged at the level of the lugs: the lower one is dedicated to the linear retrograde minute reading and is flanked, on the left and right respectively, by the jumping hour and minute indications, set via the singular crown at 2 o'clock; the upper one, on the other hand, is dedicated to the digital display of the seconds, projected onto the sapphire crystal via a fibre-optic transmission system and driven by a cylindrical roller positioned below the display. At the heart of the timepiece is the UR-111C calibre that gives the watch its name, a self-winding mechanical movement with a 48-hour power reserve. Available with a steel or gunmetal finish case, it is in a limited edition of 25 pieces for each of the two versions.
