Jeanrichard - Aeroscope 208 Seconds

Last week, an event was held in New York to pay tribute to Captain Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger, Ambassador Jeanrichard, and to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the 'Miracle on the Hudson River', the landing of Flight 1549 on the Hudson River on 15 January 2009, during which Sully saved 155 people in just 208 seconds. To mark the occasion, a limited edition Aeroscope '208 Seconds' watch was launched, dedicated to this exceptional feat.

In the new chronograph, the 208 Seconds is represented by a thin red and white graduated line on the black dial. Available with a black Barenia calfskin strap and a coussin-shaped titanium case, the Aeroscope 208 Seconds draws inspiration from historic aviation models. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this watch will be donated to the American Red Cross and the Rory Staunton Foundation, two of the organisations supported by Captain Sullenberger.

At the event, guests had the chance to take part in a media challenge of sorts, during which they had to take a picture of their wrist wearing the new Aeroscope 208 Seconds and post the photograph on their respective Instagram accounts. The 'best shot' was republished on 15 January on the brand's official Instagram account (@JRwatches). The winner was awarded an Aeroscope 208 Seconds watch.
