Locman and the Navy: a lasting partnership

Locman presents the new model in its Mare line, which sports at 6 o'clock on the dial the emblem of the Navy, with which the Elba-based company has collaborated since 2007. The watch is offered with an automatic mechanical movement or with a quartz chronograph or quartz only movement. The large 316L steel case is closed with four screws by a curved titanium back, and is guaranteed to be watertight to a depth of 100 metres. To this end, it is equipped with a state-of-the-art silicone gasket system to protect the screw-down knurled crown and the chronograph pushers. The dial shows a tachymeter scale, a date window between 4 and 5 o'clock and, in the chronograph version, three counters: the 24-hour and chronograph minute counters at 3 and 9 o'clock respectively, while the continuous seconds counter is at 6 o'clock. The strap, made of a soft-touch silicone compound that is much more resistant than rubber to temperature variations and UV rays, is attached to the case by steel Allen screws that guarantee greater resistance to torsion and traction. Prices: Mare Marina Militare Quartz Chronograph: 495 euros; Mare Marina Militare Automatic PVD Case: 598 euros.
