Maurice Lacroix is Official Timekeeper
of the Acea Run Rome The Marathon

More than 10 000 runners will compete on the streets of Rome with more than 1.2 million fans ready to support them: the Acea Run Rome The Marathon is by far the most popular in Italy, ahead of those in Florence and Milan. After all, what could be more motivating for an athlete than running in such a special setting, witnessing over 2,000 years of history? From this year, the event adopts a new name and a visual identity with a new design. With a more modern approach and a focus on connectivity, the Acea Run Rome The Marathon is a decidedly innovative competition with an international soul, thanks also to the new range of activities on offer, enabling all competitors to put themselves to the test, from beginners to the most experienced. And it is precisely this aspect that has won over Maurice Lacroix, whose young, urban and accessible spirit is perfectly in tune with the marathon's vision, as Stéphane Waser, CEO of the Maison, explains: "The organisation of the Acea Run Rome The Marathon has revealed its audacity by managing to reinvent itself with modernity. In addition, all athletes dream of participating in this race, which brings together professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world. We are delighted to be the Official Time Trialist and to take part in this incredible adventure!". Alessandro Giacomini, Director of Infront Italy, also shares his enthusiasm: "We are honoured to announce the launch of this partnership with the Maurice Lacroix watch brand, a manufacture that represents the excellence of Swiss watchmaking. It is our first collaboration and I am sure it will not be our last". The race will take place on Sunday 19 September and is divided into three categories, called Acea Run Rome The Marathon (a 42 km race in the city), Acea Run4Rome Relay (an event for groups of 4 people) and Fun Race (a virtual 5 km version for families and friends, to be run in absolute freedom, each at their own pace). Maurice Lacroix will participate in the event as Official Timekeeper and will be present on site with a dedicated space to support the athletes.
