Maurice Lacroix: Sarah Atcho new testimonial

Sarah Atcho, the Swiss sprinter who will be carrying the Olympic torch at the Youth Olympic Games in Morges, is the new testimonial for Maurice Lacroix. Switzerland's fastest 100-metre runner is determinedly pursuing both her life as an elite sportswoman and her life as a student: in fact, she is studying for a degree in marketing and communication. "What impressed us most about Sarah is the perseverance with which she manages to complete various projects! She is passionate, focused, ambitious and has a special affection for the Maurice Lacroix Maison... What better profile could there be to join our family of talents?" explains Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix. Happy to be able to wear a watch signed by the Swiss Maison on her wrist, Sarah Atcho explained why her link with the Maison is so special. "When my father decided to win over my mother, he gave her a Maurice Lacroix watch! Now she will be the one who is jealous of my collection!" she says amused. During her visit to the Manufacture in Saignelégier, the champion was able to discover the richness of the Maurice Lacroix collections. "I love the complementarity of all possible styles! I look after my look carefully and I love the idea of being able to go from a designer AIKON to an Eliros, which is all about essential lines! Also, the models are light, so I can wear them without any problems while running'. Many different models available, but also watches that change their look according to your wishes, thanks to the EasyChange system on the bracelets - a big plus for Sarah: "It's a fantastic idea! Today, even the watch can be a fashion accessory! These creations are stylish but still reasonably priced. This concept perfectly reflects my vision of modern watchmaking!" When she visited the ateliers, Sarah was struck by the precision and meticulousness of the work done. "It is methodical and extremely organised work, which I can easily compare to my sport. Even when I run, every gesture is crucial in order not to lose a single second". The 24-year-old champion, characterised by her contagious energy, is anything but a beginner: European U23 vice-champion in the 200 metres, Swiss women's record holder in the 4X100 metres relay and Swiss indoor 200 metres champion in 2019. The career of this young sportswoman is already studded with many medals and successes. A career that has developed between Switzerland and abroad: 'I travel all over the world to run in various competitions. When I am in Switzerland, I live between St Gallen, where I train, and Geneva, where I study." The next big challenge for the sprinter? Doha, and then on to preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo... A journey during which she will be able to count on the full support of Maurice Lacroix.
