Broadcast by MTV, Full Metal Alchemist is a Japanese fantasy manga set at the beginning of the 20th century in a country called Amestris, a fictional world where alchemy is the science of transmuting one matter into a different one through the use of an alchemical circle. The best alchemists have the opportunity to take part in an examination and then enter the army, under the title of State Alchemists. Each of them is given a silver pocket watch engraved with a kind of chimera, which seems to amplify the alchemical power. This led to the idea by the Funimation production company to reproduce the watch of the protagonist Edward, which is engraved with an elegant crest on the front, and the Fullmetal Alchemist crest on the bottom.
