In 2016, Roger Dubuis turns the spotlight on the feminine universe and the figure of the Diva through the Velvet collection, interpreting it with a series of models. Black Velvet embodies the Diva's most anti-conformist and rebellious spirit, represented by a black carbon case, made using a multilayer technique (unlike the Excalibur Carbon), which creates a mottled wave-like overlay effect, always different depending on the light. Illuminating the total black look is the turquoise of the 66 Paraiba tourmalines set on the bezel. The setting of the gemstones in carbon is a first and follows last year's experiment with diamonds and rubber (limited edition of 8. Blossom Velvet Rosa is precious and delicate, with a floral motif in gran feu enamel that stands out on the mother-of-pearl dial (limited edition of 88). Eccentric and glamorous in a retro key, Velvet by Massaro winks at the divas of the 1980s and Madonna's iconic "Vogue" video with its memorable invitation to strike the pose. The Parisian Maison Massaro, which has been involved in the world of fashion and feminine elegance for more than 130 years, collaborated in its creation and produced the gold-coloured Haute Couture pleated leather strap (limited edition of 88). A triumph of precious stones, the Velvet Ribbon enhances an elegant and seductive femininity. It is a high jewellery piece (limited edition of only 8). Velvet Secret Heart, on the other hand, conceals a complex mechanism: the automatic RD821B calibre with a bi-retrograde date function, which makes its debut with a small complication in this collection (limited edition of 8).
