Third edition of the Hausmann & Co. Prize - Patek Philippe

Now in its third edition, the Hausmann & Co. - Patek Philippe Prize is an award for young Italian talents who have distinguished themselves during their studies.

In 2013, graduating composers from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia received the award, and in 2014, young researchers in oncology from the Pasteur Institute and La Sapienza University. This year, Hausmann & Co. and Patek Philippe decided to support culture with a contribution of €30,000 to the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, one of the oldest in Italy and the world, which has trained internationally renowned artists, set designers and visual arts professionals.

A competition of ideas has therefore been launched, in which all students of the Academy have been invited to participate by submitting a work executed using a free technique, either traditional or linked to new technologies on the theme "The watch, or rather, Time and its measurement". At the close of the competition, the young artists will be assessed by a special jury composed for the occasion of some teachers from the Academy, journalists from the sector, as well as representatives from Hausmann & Co. and Patek Philippe Italia.

The awards ceremony for the three young people, with the presentation of study cheques and a personalised wristwatch, is scheduled for 4 June in the setting of the National Institute of Roman Studies on the Aventine.
