Girard-Perregaux - 1966 Minute Repeater, Annual Calendar & Equation of Time

Three watchmaking complications orchestrated by a manual calibre with more than 400 components: this is one of Girard-Perregaux's very latest additions to its 1966 collection. Protagonist is the dial, which highlights the different time indications: the date, in a circular counter placed between 1 and 2, and the month, in a window at 7; between 4 and 5, on the other hand, appears the equation of time, indicating the difference between civil time and solar time. Completing the watch's equipment is the minute repeater, which benefits from refinements in the construction of the case: the optimisation between the inner diameter of the case and that of the calibre, for maximum resonance; the galbé back, which increases the volume of air between the movement and the case, for better sound propagation; and the bottom surface of the case back, diamond-coated, which reduces acoustic interference. In a limited edition of 15 pieces and equipped with a Girard-Perregaux E09-0003 movement, the 1966 Minute Repeater, Annual Calendar & Equation of Time is on sale for 270,000 euros.
