Photographers Markus and Indrani for Girard-Perregaux

Girard-Perregaux disseminates through its digital platforms a beautiful photo shoot by renowned photographers Markus and Indrani. The result is a refined explosion of beauty that transcends the boundaries of time. It is no coincidence that Markus and Indrani, who are famous for their work with celebrities such as Lady Gaga, David Bowie and Beyonce, wanted to repurpose the image of ten Girard-Perregaux watches, bringing a breath of glamour to these enchanting little time machines. The collaboration started with the launch of Markus and Indrani's book entitled ICONS, at the Lincoln Center in New York, where the highlights of their artistic work were presented. On this occasion, the two artists found the inspiration to immortalise some of Girard-Perregaux's beautiful watches with their unmistakable photographic style. The ten watches were photographed in Vasquez Rocks, California, a place famous for the particular shape of its rocks, where a number of science fiction films have been set. Markus + Indrani's photographs mix future and tradition and show exclusive timepieces such as the Bi-axial Tourbillon, the 1966 Minute Repeater and the Cat's Eye, in a style totally new to the luxury watch industry. Speaking the language of the new generation of watch lovers, the images were presented through Girard-Perregaux's digital platforms, which include Twitter (@GirardPerregaux), Facebook (Facebook.com/Girard-PerregauxWatches), Instagram (@GirardPerregaux) and Pinterest (@GirardPerregaux) as well as their online digital magazine 'Mechanics of Style', in addition to the Brand's website (girard-perregaux.com). "The images created by Markus and Indrani show our watches and the entire watchmaking industry in a new light," says Michele Sofisti, CEO of the Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD). "Girard-Perregaux not only has a long history and a strong heritage, but is also characterised by innovation, as is evident from our recent presentation of the Constant Escapement. Its gaze is turned towards the future,' he says. "We have always been fascinated by the 'timeless' feeling that Girard-Perregaux watches communicate," says Markus Klinko. "However, the concept of time also appears anchored in the past. We wanted to illustrate a generation that embodies the idea of elegance and naturalness, of the past and the future'.
