Only Watch 2007: the awards

Only Watch 2007: le aggiudicazioni

The Only Watch 2007 auction took place yesterday at the Monaco Yacht Show venue in the small Principality of Monaco, under the High Patronage of His Majesty Prince Albert II, organised by the renowned auction house Antiquorum. Thirty-five extraordinary watches from the world's most prestigious brands went on sale, some of which are genuine one-offs produced expressly for this particular initiative. All proceeds will be donated to research for the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Top lot of the auction was a Patek Philippe Nautilus, a unique piece in titanium, with moon phase and power reserve, equipped with the automatic calibre 240 (visible through the sapphire glass porthole). The watch sold for €525,000.

DeWitt's 'Incognito 2008 - Watch concept No. 1' model, created in collaboration with the well-known architect and designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte, was sold for 400,000 euros. A truly exceptional result, considering that this watch was auctioned without being presented, as it will only reveal its beauty in January 2008, when it will be delivered to its lucky buyer. In the meantime, we can only anticipate that it will be a revolutionary timepiece equipped with a manual movement with tourbillon and a power reserve of no less than 21 days.
