Piaget confirms its support for the Only Watch initiative

Piaget is renewing its support for research in the fight against Duchenne Dystrophy by taking part, for the fifth consecutive year, in the Only Watch initiative, the charity auction of unique watches that will take place on 28 September 2013 in the context of the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show. For this edition, the Maison has reinterpreted the emblematic Altiplano Skeleton by creating an original and unique version: the Altiplano 38mm Only Watch 2013 Skeleton 1200S. The beating heart of this model is the slim squelette calibre 1200S, delicately machined and, for the first time, treated with a black PVD finish. The outside of the case back bears the engraving 'Only Watch 2013 - unique piece'. By donating this unique piece to the Association Monégasque Contre Les Myopathies, Piaget will contribute to research in the fight against Duchenne Dystrophy, a neuromuscular disease that affects 1 in every 3,500 male children and can be fatal. The funds raised in previous editions of Only Watch have already led to scientific breakthroughs and the travelling exhibition preceding the auction will provide a further opportunity to raise public awareness of this disease. The exhibition will make stops in Singapore (6/7 September - The Hour Glass), Hong Kong (9/10 September - Antiquorum), Shanghai (12/13 September), Beijing (14 September), New York (16/17 September - Antiquorum), Geneva (23/24 September - Antiquorum) and, finally, in the Principality of Monaco (25/26/27/28 September).
