New Chronoswiss production site inaugurated in Munich

Inaugurato a Monaco di Baviera il nuovo sito produttivo Chronoswiss

An environmentally friendly and energy-independent structure (at least as far as air conditioning is concerned) is the new factory strongly desired by Gerd-R. Lang, owner of the Chronoswiss brand.

The brand's potential is enormous and its founder's vision is clear and determined. Quality above all, guaranteed by the exclusive use of Swiss components, but assembled in Germany. What if the Swiss Confederation no longer wanted to grant Swiss Made status to the Chronoswiss brand? No harm done. As early as next year, the German company's watches may no longer display the Swiss Made inscription on the dial, in favour of the company's own certification: the CASP (Certified All Swiss Parts). An assertion, the latter, that many legitimate Swiss Made watches do not respect, given that the current Swiss Made rules admit a 50% product value of non-Swiss origin. The papers are ready to officially launch the CASP, all that is missing are the final signatures of the Chronoswiss suppliers and then, the 'little' enterprising German brand will also be independent on the provenance and quality certification front.

Independence is another theme close to Lang's heart. Chronoswiss is not for sale. Changes in management are planned for the future, with the arrival of a CEO to replace Lang in operational commitments, leaving him the pleasure and enjoyment of designing his own watches, as he has always done to date.

"I design my watches for me". This is his explanation of the Chronoswiss style: a style that for 23 years has been appreciated and chosen by legions of true enthusiasts, who recognise the Munich-based brand as a leading role in the renaissance of mechanical watchmaking.

And we are among his admirers.

Now the factory is there too, and it is ready to welcome the next developments of the company, with an increasingly manufacturing focus.
