Roger Dubuis for Only Watch 2013

Roger Dubuis is symbolically dedicating a unique timepiece from the La Monégasque collection to Only Watch 2013, the prestigious biennial charity auction in support of Duchenne muscular dystrophy research, the next edition of which will be held on 28 September at the Monaco Yacht Show. Only Watch is considered the most important charity auction in the world and is now in its fifth year under the auspices of the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy and the auction house Antiquorum. The unique model created exclusively for the event has a 44 mm case in pink gold, inside which is housed the mechanical self-winding RD520 movement. Between the 7th and 8th is the flying tourbillon cage in the shape of a Celtic cross, and the characteristic Roger Dubuis micro-rotor is visible between the 10th and 11th This is the first time that this movement, endowed with a 60-hour power reserve, has been mounted in a case from the La Monégasque collection, with a dial designed and developed in compliance with the collection's characteristic design codes. The extraordinary result achieved - with charcoal grey satin-finished sunray and circular finishing, and applied pink gold Arabic numerals - perfectly illustrates the savoir-faire of the Manufacture Roger Dubuis and its distinctive technical and aesthetic characteristics. Like all models produced by Roger Dubuis, this creation is stamped with the prestigious Poinçon de Genève, a seal of quality guaranteeing the highest level of excellence in watchmaking.
