Chanel - J12 Moonphase Watches

Blending modernity, elegance and purity, the J12 Moonphase watch by Chanel offers a brand new version featuring a moon phase display. Unlike the classic moon phases, which can be read through a guichet, those of the Parisian Maison's new timepiece are displayed on a deep blue aventurine disc adorned with gold straws. Positioned at 6 o'clock, the disc displays the four main phases of the moon and is equipped with a small serpentine hand in polished steel. The date is indicated by a central hand whose end resembles the stylised shape of a crescent moon. The bezel of the J12 Moonphase, both with diamonds and in hi-tech ceramic, has become thinner, offering a large opening to the dial with a satin or guilloché finish. The watch is available in white or black hi-tech ceramic and in white gold with or without titanium ceramic. An in-depth look at the J12 Moonphase will be published in L'Orologio 223 (December 2013/January 2014).
