Custos novelties from Geneva

Custos also presented its novelties in Geneva, in conjunction with the SIHH. The most important news about the young brand led by Sassoun Sirmakes and Antonio Terranova concerns the formalisation of the synergy between the Custos team and the Franck Muller Watchland group. As proof of this, Custos presents a complicated model with a movement developed by Pierre-Michel Golay based on an idea by Terranova. The CTR-S is a chronograph that also tells the time. The chronograph mechanism, in fact, is the real star of this watch, visible through the dial together with the beautiful mysterious flying tourbillon (one of the movement's three patents) with an aluminium cage. The mechanism is powered by a double barrel with an unprecedented system to maintain constant torque for a full six days. It will be produced in limited quantities (only 10 pieces are planned for now, at around 170,000 euros).

The other novelties from Custos concern modifications and extensions to the existing range. The most interesting is the one concerning the corrector buttons of the QPR-S (Perpetual Calendar Racing Sport), with an intelligent and aesthetically pleasing system. The watch is now also offered in palladium, at 35,000 Swiss francs.

Finally, the company presented the rose gold version of what we consider to be its most successful model: the Yachting Club (CHF 160,000).

The Custos presentation was followed by a social evening during which Sassoun Sirmakes and Antonio Terranova announced the inauguration of the brand's first boutique, which will be followed by other openings in the coming months, most probably also in Italy.
