Casio - G-Shock x Kevin Lyons

IFCasio kicks off 2015 with a partnership between G-Shock and Kevin Lyons, creative director, designer, illustrator and founder of the Natural Born brand. The fruit is a new limited edition collaboration model. The model customised by Kevin Lyons is the G-Shock GB-5600, with its iconic shape featuring an extravagant artist's decoration and distinctive packaging. "I am super excited to be working with G-Shock again. When I was asked to create a watch that would illustrate the toughness of G-Shock, I immediately thought of concrete blocks and concrete, to which I paired the Rudeboy concepts of Concrete Jungle and Tougher Than Tough, two songs that describe the tough urban life in Kingston, Jamaica. I then thought of adding my iconic characters - pyramid monsters emerging from concrete blocks..." - said Kevin Lyons.

The G-Shock x Kevin Lyons is also equipped with Bluetooth low-power technology that allows, for example, music control and the receipt of notifications of incoming emails, text messages and phone calls. The model has also been equipped with a function that allows the alarm/vibration alert to be switched off with a double tap on the dial.

Confirmed, of course, are the G-SHOCK's performance and functions, including extreme shock and water resistance to 200 metres, an LED-backlit screen, a stopwatch with an accuracy of 1/100th of a second, 5 alarms, time indication for 100 cities worldwide, scratch-resistant mineral glass and a guaranteed battery life of 2 years.
