The Tourbillons of Beat Haldimann

I Tourbillon di Beat Haldimann

If you ask Ludwig Oechslin or to Maximilian Busser which is the most beautiful tourbillon produced today, without hesitation you will be answered by the name Beat Haldiman. The creations of the watchmaker from Thun (Beat Haldimann) deserve to be better known also in Italy, where unfortunately they are still not distributed. To be honest, it would also be worth a trip to Switzerland to visit Haldimann's atelier, some photos of which we published in the article in L'Orologio 142. In a 1907 villa used both as a home and workshop, this independent creator makes his tourbillon-equipped watches entirely by hand: the H1 Flying, reproduced in these photos, and the exceptional H2 Flying Resonance, with two self-regulating balances exploiting the physical principle of mechanical resonance.
