Manufacturing Chopard recently announced the acquisition of new land and industrial buildings, both in Geneva and Fleurier. Since 1974, the Maison has been located in the Meyrin industrial zone on the outskirts of Geneva, where it has progressively developed its administrative headquarters and production workshops. A latest expansion took place in July 2007, with the acquisition of a nearby 3,200 m2 building on a 9,800 m2 plot. Thus, in Meyrin, Chopard now has a surface area of 24,000 m2, on a site totalling 64,000 m2. At the production level, Chopard concentrates some forty different professions in-house, which guarantees very strong verticalisation and long-term independence.
In the same vein, the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier, created eleven years ago, was recently expanded with an additional building of 2,500 m2 to meet the major development of this production site. These new acquisitions will therefore allow the Maison to enlarge its manufacturing and administration areas in the future.
