Omega - Globemaster

The Globemaster is the first watch to be awarded the title of Master Chronometer, a certification carried out by Omega together with the Swiss Federal Institute of Measurement (Metas) which has been active since this year. The eight criteria that are measured during the certification process, in addition to measuring the watch's performance in daily use, ensure its functioning when exposed to strong magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. Any other brand will be able to submit their watches to Metas testing to receive Master Chronometer certification, which not only declares the quality of the movement but of the entire watch. The dial of the new Globemaster incorporates the iconic "pie-pan" motif made famous by the Constellation models of '52 and the bezel is knurled. The movement is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8901, featuring a Sedna gold rotor, resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.
