Aquaracer 500M Calibre 5 Leonardo DiCaprio Limited Edition

In collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio, the TAG Heuer has designed his first mechanical watch: it is the new Aquaracer 500M, the restyling of which is part of the brand's initiative to raise funds for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Green Cross International, two of the world's most important and active environmental organisations. "Every single day, the NRDC and Green Cross International are doing important work to safeguard our planet's resources for future generations," said DiCaprio. "TAG Heuer and I hope that this initiative will serve to extend their achievements and help them in the face of ever-growing challenges." Since January 2009, the beginning of his partnership with the watchmaker, the American actor has participated with TAG Heuer in environmental campaigns to take measures to help the company curb and reduce its CO2 emissions. The Aquaracer 500M Calibre 5 Leonardo DiCaprio Limited Edition features a satin-finished steel case, 43 millimetres in diameter, housing a Swiss automatic movement with an oscillating weight decorated with côtes de Genève. The unidirectional rotating bezel is encircled by six knights to facilitate use with diving gloves, while the coloured and satin-finished screw-down crown is fitted with a double safety seal to prevent water or dust infiltration. On the ocean-blue dial, the spheres and hour markers are covered with a special luminescent material and the orange-coloured seconds hand ensures excellent legibility in low light situations or in the darkness of the seabed. Equipped with an automatic helium release valve, the watch comes with a three-link bracelet in brushed steel or a rubber strap to match the shade of the dial, both with a steel safety clasp and safety push-buttons to prevent any accidental opening.
