Fossil 2.0: the smartwatch

The American company Fossil, on the strength of its acquisition of Misfit.Inc., an innovator in the field of wearable technology, is focusing on smartwatches. Wristwatches for all intents and purposes, they are able to interact with Android and iOs smartphones to receive all kinds of information, from those most often consulted - such as calls, notifications and messages - to those that can be accessed when needed - such as traffic conditions and flight schedules. Thanks to these new devices, the watch owner also has the opportunity to reply to messages directly with a tap on the watch display or by means of voice commands; it is also possible to receive notifications via Google Now tabs, a veritable 'personal assistant' that uses information from Android smartphone sensors and web search data to offer all kinds of useful suggestions.
Featuring a trendy design with slim and clean lines, they have cases of generous dimensions, measuring 44 and 46 millimetres in diameter, with the added option of silicone for the strap. In particular, the Q Wander has a softly shaped case, which is further sculpted by the use of flush lugs that make the watch comfortable on the wrist, thanks also to the adoption of an interchangeable soft leather strap. A distinguishing feature of the Q Marshal, on the other hand, is its more solid and gritty appearance, accentuated by the navy blue shade of the case, and the use of a strap, also in leather, but with a vintage inspiration. They recharge about every two days, with the help of a wireless charger.
