Omega and watches for Rio 2016

Among Omega's Olympic Games watches, the Speedmaster Mark II 'Rio 2016' is inspired by the 1969 model of the same name. The case is in steel with a matt black dial. Recalling the Olympic medals, the three counters are framed respectively by a bronze minute ring at 3 o'clock, a yellow gold hour ring at 6 o'clock and a 925 silver continuous seconds ring at 9 o'clock. For the first time Omega has adopted a tachymeter scale that is visible even in the dark, illuminated by an aluminium ring with SuperLuminova. The movement is the Omega automatic calibre 3330 with silicon balance spring and coaxial escapement. Printed on the caseback is the logo of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. This is a limited edition of 2,016 pieces.
