We really like the new white Fifty Fathoms by Blancpainwhich gives this diver, with its long and glorious history (it was adopted in the 1950s by various navies), an allure of ethereal elegance. The steel case, an impressive 45 millimetres in diameter, is illuminated by the glow of the unidirectional rotating bezel in sapphire crystal and the snow-white dial. At its heart is the IWC-manufactured 1315 automatic calibre, consisting of 222 elegantly finished elements and visible through the sapphire glass porthole in the case back. The oscillating weight, specially designed for
this model, is engraved with a motif echoing the shape of the nautilus. The same whiteness also applies to the robust, water-resistant white sailcloth strap with rubber lining and pin buckle.
