Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph

Vacheron Constantin_5500V-110A-B147_RV_tr_1154552Vacheron Constantin's Overseas in chrono version is powered by the 5200 calibre, the new self-winding movement presented by the Geneva-based company and bearing the Geneva Seal. The fruit of five years of development, this calibre has 263 components and is equipped with a column wheel that coordinates the chronograph start, stop and reset functions, as well as a vertical clutch that prevents the chrono seconds hand from jumping when the measurement is started. Signature of the new Vacheron Constantin chronographs, the column wheel is adorned with a screw in the shape of a Maltese cross, the Manufacture's emblem. The movement also employs a double barrel for better torque and a guaranteed power reserve of over 50 hours. Protected from magnetic fields by a soft-iron ring, this timepiece provides the hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date functions, displayed on a silvered, blue or chocolat dial with a sunray, blued or velvety finish. The gold facetted hour markers and hands are coated with a luminescent substance. The Overseas Chronograph is available with a steel or rose gold case with a diameter of 42.5 mm. The pushers, crown, and screw-down case back guarantee water resistance to 150 metres, while the transparent case back reveals the 22-carat gold oscillating weight decorated with a compass rose. The new steel references come with three interchangeable straps, a steel bracelet with a quick-length adjustment system, a rubber strap and a leather strap. The rubber and leather versions also feature a steel folding clasp, which is also interchangeable. The rose gold model is offered with two straps, one in leather and the second in rubber, both suitable for the interchangeable rose gold folding clasp.
