From 7 to 11 September, the nineteenth edition of Vele d'Epoca di Imperia, the third stage in the Mediterranean of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, the international regatta circuit reserved for classic and vintage sailing boats. The protagonists will be around seventy boats between 7 and 50 metres long, built between the end of the 19th century and the 2000s. The boats, divided into the Big Boats, Vintage, Classic, and Spirit of Tradition groups, will moor at the Calata Anselmi quay in Porto Maurizio. Four regattas are scheduled, one per day, and will take place between Thursday and Sunday. Before the last competition at sea, the boats will parade inside the harbour of Imperia Oneglia, while the prize-giving ceremony will be held on Sunday afternoon.
On the quay, in addition to the Panerai lounge where crews will be able to relax after the regatta, there will be a number of institutional stands and others related to local arts and crafts. For the first time, it will be possible to visit a section of the new Naval Museum of Imperia, built right in front of the boat moorings.
