As usual, ROlex kept the secret of the Basel news well hidden.
Everyone was expecting a commemorative edition of the Daytona, for the company's 100th anniversary and, instead, the most striking novelty concerns the Sea-Dweller, which increased in size and performance to a water resistance of 3900 metres!
Here are its first photos, along with other new Rolex models.
This year, in fact, we see the first time of the Daytona in rose gold and a Day-Date 'inflated' in size (which frankly did not meet with the press's taste... but the public will decide). Meanwhile, the old Day-Date will evidently remain in the collection, as the new one is named Day-Date II.
Finally, the case of the Submariner has been redesigned, in yellow gold (with a blue dial and bezel) and white gold versions to begin with, with a new unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic disc (Cerachrom) and a 120-step adjustment and locking system. The movement is equipped with the Parachrom balance spring.
