Tonino Lamborghini Centenary collection

1 - CENTENARY - 09-03Within the Centenary collection, presented to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ferruccio Lamborghini, founder of the eponymous car manufacturer, there are several timepieces, including some powered by quartz movements. The Centenary with Ref. 0903 (price €1,900) features a blue PVD treatment of the case (made of steel; diameter 47 millimetres), crown, pushers, bezel (engraved with the name of the collection) and crown protection structure. Also dyed blue are the hands (treated with SuperLuminova, as are the indexes) and part of the movement, which is skeletonised and visible from the dial side, which in turn is protected by a sapphire crystal. As for the movement, it is a Swiss Made self-winding mechanism, Kronos calibre 1152. Water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, this Centenary is combined with a leather strap with a folding clasp. Among the quartz Centenaries is the one with the two-tone case (Ref. 1010). This model has a 44-millimetre satin-finished steel case, while the bezel, movable lugs, crown and crown-cover are given a black PVD treatment. Noteworthy, on the bezel, are 11 decorative hexagonal screws as well as the company logo, enamelled in red, at 6 o'clock. On the dial, characterised by a pattern reproducing the gears of a mechanism, is the date display at 6 o'clock. It is powered by a Ronda RL 515 calibre (hence Swiss Made), is water-resistant to 10 atmospheres and is priced at €1,200. The Centenary Engine collection, for its part, has been so named because the dial design is inspired by the valve covers of supercar engines. In this case, the movement used is mechanical with manual winding, ETA/Unitas calibre 6498-2, and is also visible from the back. The Centenary Engine (price: €2,300) is available in four different versions, i.e. with a case in satin-finished steel or with a black, rose gold-coloured or yellow gold-coloured PVD treatment. Each variant is produced in a limited and numbered series (on the case back) of 75 pieces. Details to be highlighted include the engraving of the year 1916 (the year of birth of the late Ferruccio Lamborghini) on the structure protecting the crown, which has a scissor opening, and the presence of the sapphire crystal protecting the dial, which is partially skeletonised. The case has a diameter of 47 millimetres and is guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres.
