The Victorinox Road Tour started on 1 June. It is an intercontinental tour during which a bus with Victorinox signs will pass through 18 cities across Europe: Paris, Bordeaux, Madrid, Barcelona, Marseille, Lyon, Geneva, Basel, Zurich, Lugano, Milan, Vienna, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Brussels and London. In each city, advertising teams, equipped with electric scooters, will bring excitement to the public. Matching events are planned: climbing competitions on artificial rock and a Victorinox technician, an expert in the assembly of multi-purpose tools, who will be on hand to create very special souvenirs. In Milan, the tour will stop in Piazza Duca d'Aosta on 5 and 6 July.
Victorinox has also set up a competition for families who propose a useful and innovative project to benefit their local community. The brand will donate EUR 10,000 to the selected family to enable the financing of the proposed project. The competition is open to families in Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium and the UK: the funding will be given to one family from each country. The competition runs from 1 June 2010 to 31 January 2011.
Victorinox will select families in which the true spirit of solidarity manifests itself in joint collaborative action. Any family unit that cooperates and acts as a team can participate, regardless of the form of the family itself.
