SyArt and Sorrento Young Art Festival 2018

Second edition of the Sorrento Young Art Festival, an event promoted by SyArt - an association that promotes art and culture - and dedicated to contemporary artists from all over the world. The privileged location is the historical Villa Fiorentino, the headquarters of the Sorrento Foundation chaired by ship-owner Gianluigi Aponte. The association, after the success of the first edition, is extending the duration of the event with the vernissage scheduled for 7 April and the vernissage on 13 May. Among this year's novelties is a shared artistic direction, entrusted to Paolo Feroce and Rossella Savarese; the Art Car award, desired by SyArt president Leone Cappiello and involving a Range Rover Evoque, customised with a creative wrapping, designed and created exclusively by an artist chosen by the organising staff and supported by the Jaguar Land Rover dealership Autorally together with the Zenith brand; a cover of Arbiter created by the winner of the Fata Verde Praemium; live painting and performance, during the opening evening, with the participation of the artist Tvboy, eclectic representative of the Neo-Pop current, linked to the world of street art. The SyArt event is followed by an exhibition focusing on the work of the Irish artist Francis Bacon, one of the most famous names in 20th century art history. During the exhibition days, educational tours with Italian and foreign schools are confirmed. For information: tel. 0818782284; info@fondazionesorrento.com; info@syart.it.
