Parmigiani Fleurier and astronomy

A retrograde annual calendar and moon phases are the two complications used in Parmigiani Fleurier's new Tonda watch. There are two representations of the moon visible at 6 o'clock on the dial: one from the northern hemisphere and the other from the southern hemisphere of the Earth, i.e. corresponding to the geographical position in which one finds oneself. Protagonists are the two solid rose gold moons silhouetted against an aventurine sky. At 3 and 9 o'clock are placed, respectively, the month counter and the day of the week, while the date display occupies the outermost position, on the flange. At the heart of the timepiece is the PF339 calibre, mechanical with automatic winding, with an additional module for the retrograde annual calendar (the date only needs to be corrected once a year) and moon phases; it is equipped with a double barrel mounted in series and ensures a 50-hour autonomy. It is housed in a pink gold case, which is paired with a white grené dial, or a white gold case, with a black opaline dial. The watch is on sale at a price of €29,600.
