Franco Poli on show in Parma

From Saturday 19 May to Monday 4 June 2018, Franco Poli's exhibition entitled 'Itinerario di una forma' (Itinerary of a shape), curated by architect Guillaume Pacetti, will be held at the Galleria Bianca di Cubo in Parma. It is a retrospective on the production of unseen furnishing elements, conceived and realised by the Paduan designer over the years of his career for important brands in the sector. From 6 p.m. on 19 May, the day of the inauguration, Franco Poli will hold an introductory lecture in which he will illustrate the poetic and material process that inspires and leads him in the production of his works. Poli says about the exhibition: "Most of the objects on show are a sequence of rare or unique objects that it is almost impossible to see except in this exhibition, some are prototypes from several decades ago, others are dynamic experiences of concepts that are later applied to the project (what I call 'pretypes') mainly leather net proofs, and finally there are some contemporary objects that represent the physical application of pretype concepts". The exhibition can be accessed Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (free admission). For further information: www.cuboparma.com; cuboparma@gmail.com.
