The Faraone auction reserved for 20th century watches

The next appointment with Faraone Casa d'Aste at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan is scheduled for 6 May. For the occasion, jewellery but above all more than sixty lots of watches, mostly dating back to the 20th century, will be auctioned. There will be brands such as Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe and other niche brands such as Carlo Ferrara, Custos and Faraone himself. The selection includes one of the most coveted vintage watches among collectors, the Rolex Explorer II (Ref. 1655) from the late 1970s, nicknamed 'Freccione', but also a sought-after 'Cioccolatone' (Ref. 4645), in rose gold, and a GMT Master II (Ref. 16710) from the 1990s. This is followed by a rare IWC Portugieser (Ref. IW502307) in white gold, equipped with a calendar with moon phases and depiction of the moon as seen from the northern hemisphere and a power reserve. The list of watches in the auction also boasts a number of Jaeger-Le Coultre and Cartier models, both vintage from the 1950s and 1960s and more contemporary, as well as timepieces from brands such as Breguet and Omega. Completing Faraone Casa d'Aste's offerings are a Franck Muller Curvex Master Calendar solotempo (Ref. 6850), in pink gold, from the 1990s, a Panerai Luminor, a Zenith Chrono and a more recent and sought-after Tudor Heritage Montecarlo.
