Just a few hours after the announcement of Breitling's defection from the next edition of the Basel Fair, comes the news that Tudor will have its own totally autonomous stand in Hall 1.0. At the same time, Rolex will expand its own exhibition area, incorporating the space that was reserved for Tudor. 'We are very sorry that Breitling will not be taking part in Baselworld 2020,' said Nichel Loris-Melikoff, Managing Director of the fair. However, Loris-Melikoff himself emphasised that there had been very constructive and cooperative discussions with Breitling's top management in recent weeks. For his part, Breitling CEO Georges Kern did not rule out a possible return of the Grenchen-based company to Baselworld in 2021.
