Meccaniche Veloci, main sponsor of WB Seven

Meccaniche Veloci boards the cruiser/racer WB Seven, a 44-foot sailing yacht built by the Danish X-Yachts shipyard. The crew consists of 12 people and is skippered by Azzurra's helmsman Mauro Pelaschier, joined by owner Gianclaudio Bassetti. Cesare Cerrito, Ceo of the Swiss Maison and passionate sailor, will be part of the crew. The Meccaniche Veloci logo appears as main sponsor in the centre of the mainsail and jib, in white on a black background. "Sailing is a team sport, a passion that unites men, friends and sportsmen," comments Cerrito. "The first sea outing of WB Seven was an emotion. The idea of accompanying her in her next competitions stems from a sharing of ideals with the Owner, ideals that are an expression of a lifestyle based on freedom, respect, passion and fun. This is the Meccaniche Veloci lifestyle. This collaboration allows us to tell a new story, once again made up of men and challenges". The crew of the WB Seven made its debut on the water last April for the preparation training for the Regatta of the Two Gulfs organised by the Yacht Club Lignano, which took place from 24 to 28 April in Lignano Sabbiadoro, where the cruiser achieved a fourth place in the general classification. The ambitious goal is to reach the podium at the next D-Marine ORC World Championship, which will be held in Šibenik, Croatia, from 1 to 8 June. The WB Seven will participate in the regatta under the colours of the Yacht Club di Parma in the "Corinthian" category reserved for non-professional crews or those with a World Sailing Group 1 classification. The event will be particularly important thanks to the team's collaboration with Ami (Ambiente Mare Italia). The 'no plastic' logo will also be displayed on the sails and uniforms of the WB Seven crew, to contribute to the campaign to raise awareness of environmental issues, in particular plastic pollution. The boat will be engaged in a regatta calendar that will continue with the following events: 1/8 June, D-Marine ORC World Championship, Šibenik Croatia; 21/9 International Sailing Week, Trieste-S.Giovanni in Pelago; 13/10 Barcolana 51, Trieste.
