Theft at the premises of Giuliano Mazzuoli

On 12 May, a theft occurred at Giuliano Mazzuoli's office. Mazzuoli himself issued a communiqué recounting the incident. We propose it to you in full. '12 May, for 96 years, was my mother's birthday. On 12 May 2019 there was a violent attack on my things and my brand. It was last Sunday around 10am and for personal reasons I went to my company's headquarters, where I noticed that strangely there was an open door. Inside, everything seemed fine, but on the ground a sort of 3-4 metre long rod, made of plastic slats connected together with adhesive tape, caught my attention. I didn't understand who had made it and what it could be used for. I was not far from the access door to the safe, which was closed, but the alarm system was off. I became suspicious. I continued on and went to another room, which few people knew existed. It was open and inside the light was on: from inside came a peculiar and strong smell, as if something had burnt. Once inside, I saw a scenario of war. There was no longer a shadow of my watches, only debris and horror. I alerted the family and the police. Then, at 72, I felt like crying. And I almost did it by calling and talking to a friend, almost an older brother, who knows the watchmaking world well and who urged me to react. Because the bad thing that happened is in any case a demonstration of the value and interest there is around my watches. I didn't think the Manometer would attract the attention of thugs so determined to take them away. I found out later that that strange four-metre rod had been used to neutralise and then destroy the alarm system. I still have it in my eyes. That smell from the discs of the hose found on the floor that burned as they burned, cutting through the walls of the solid safe. I still have it in my nose, it is still present in the room. Images of the incident have been leaked: I'm sorry, because no images of horror have ever been leaked from my company. But only images of beauty. I close with a piece of advice, which I would like to give to anyone interested in a 'Giuliano Mazzuoli'. That is, ignore offers from unauthorised advertisements or people. On our part, we express our deep sympathy to Giuliano Mazzuoli for what happened. In the photo, the most famous watch of Mazzuoli's production, the Manometro.
