The new Elégante from F.P.Journe is presented in a grade 5 titanium case with an exclusive Titalyt® treatment that further enhances its identity within the Elégante collection. This is a process of oxidation of titanium, by means of electro-plasma, which improves the material's hardness and its resistance to wear and corrosion. This new version, recognisable by its unique colour, gives it a refined look that suits all styles, whether casual, sporty or formal. In the dark, the original sapphire crystal dial lights up completely and, like Chinese shadows, depicts the indications in black on a white field, allowing optimal legibility of the hours and minutes. In daylight, on the other hand, it evokes the glow of white mother-of-pearl. Equipped with a revolutionary electromechanical movement specially developed for this watch, the Elégante by F.P.Journe offers over 8 years of power reserve. After 35 minutes of non-use, it enters stand-by mode and the hands stop to conserve energy. In stand-by mode, the microprocessor created for this watch continues to measure time. When the movement detector, visible on the dial at 4 o'clock, is activated, the Elégante immediately returns to the correct time via the shortest path, whether clockwise or anti-clockwise. Eight years of research with extremely precise specifications were required to complete this innovative watchmaking concept.
