Mido Multifort Patrimony

The Mido Multifort Patrimony can be considered as the meeting of retro style and modern technology, while celebrating Mido's history and experience. The convex satin-finished dial catches the eye with its deep blue hue and is protected by an elegant round case in polished and satin-finished steel. The gradation of the pulsometer on the edge of the dial, the sapphire crystal coating that guards it and the shape of the hour and minute hands are all discreet hints of a fascinating past. Concealed by this retro look is a latest-generation mechanism: the calibre 80, which gives this timepiece precision and an excellent 80-hour power reserve. This avant-garde automatic movement, finely decorated with an oscillating weight embellished with Côtes de Genève and the Mido logo, can be admired through the transparent back. The Multifort collection, introduced in 1934, just two years after the completion of Sydney Harbour Bridge, exhibits the same remarkable qualities of this structure - a perfect blend of beauty and functionality. A certainty that has stood the test of time: in 2014, Mido celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Multifort collection, one of the longest-lived in the history of Swiss watchmaking. Firmly rooted in tradition but projected into the future, the new Multifort Patrimony embodies Mido's centuries of watchmaking expertise. Its deep blue dial is an irresistible eye-catcher. Convex and with an elegant Sunray finish, it creates a magnificent contrast between the softness of its satin-finished lines, its polished steel case with a diameter of 40 mm and its cognac-coloured leather strap. The pulsometer graduation on the edge of the dial measures heartbeats, while the aperture at 6 o'clock displays the date. With its sapphire crystal protecting the dial, its retro shape and diamond-cut hour and minute hands, the Multifort Patrimony features multiple references to the past, while the touches of white Super-LumiNova on the hour markers and hands make it an extremely modern timepiece. A natural-looking cognac leather strap with a steel buckle lends a vintage touch to this timepiece, which is water-resistant to 5 atmospheres. Two other versions of the Multifort Patrimony are also available.
