NOMOS Glashütte - The Tangent Update
wins the European Product Design Award

The German watch manufacturer can boast no fewer than three major awards in a single year and all bestowed on the same model: the Tangente neomatik 41 Update, in fact, continues to reap success in the worlds of watchmaking and design. At the top of the best-seller list since its launch at the beginning of last year, the Tangente Update - after winning the iF Desig Award and the Challenge Watch Prize for its technical and horological features at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève - now takes home its third international award. Tangente, the iconic model from the NOMOS stable, has been a best-seller since it first appeared on the market a quarter of a century ago. Its linear design, angular shape and unmistakable hour markers are now presented in the Tangente neomatik 41 Update. The dimensions of this timepiece, which has now become a classic of German manufacture, have increased over the years to a diameter of 41 millimetres, while still maintaining an extraordinary subtlety. Next to the date numerals, placed around the dial, are two red segments indicating today's date, an original solution that is both practical and fun. This particular date display is a novelty - and an exclusive - from NOMOS Glashütte. The European Product Design Award (ePDA) is presented annually by an independent jury of design experts. The award celebrates design products conceived to simplify everyday life. This important award has innovation, aesthetics, functionality and sustainability among its main evaluation criteria.
