The innovative Omega watch designed especially for sport

Omega presents the Seamaster Aqua Terra "Ultra Light", a model that as one can guess from its name is designed to offer greater lightness and comfort during sporting activities. Behind its creation is one of golf's best players, Rory McIlroy, who helped the product development team to create a watch that fully meets the needs of athletes: "I know what an athlete needs and, through our collaboration with Omega, we were able to modify the timepiece. It is a real pleasure to wear the new Aqua Terra "Ultra Light", it adapts to any sport". Equipped with a sporty-looking textile strap, the ergonomic Aqua Terra "Ultra Light" weighs just 55 grams. The case, case back and crown are made of an alloy called Gamma Titanium, used for the first time by the brand. This unique material, used in the aeronautical industry for its remarkable strength, is harder and lighter than standard titanium. After extensive research and testing, Omega was also able to reduce the amount of material used for the dial. This process made it possible to further increase the watch's lightness, without altering its aesthetic appearance. Another new feature is the telescopic crown, which can be concealed in the case when not in use: an ergonomic attribute that ensures the athlete's freedom of movement while playing is not affected. Designed to counter the sun's glare, this timepiece, with its matt finish, features colour accents on the aluminium seconds hand, Seamaster logo, quarter-hour markers and strap stitching. It is available in three colours: red, green or blue. It is equipped with the 8928 Titanium calibre, a hand-wound movement with a Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (Metas), it is resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. The brand new Seamaster Aqua Terra "Ultra Light" made its debut on the golf course at the Omega Masters tournament at the summit of Crans-Montana. Sporting it on his wrist was Rory McIlroy himself along with fellow golfers Sergio García and Tommy Fleetwood. The three professional players and Omega ambassadors competed alongside stars Justin Timberlake, Niall Horan, Dennis Quaid, Anthony Mackie and Michael Peña.
