Excellent results for Lange at the Dr. Crott auction

Three rare variants of the Lange 1, which was presented on 24 October 1994 and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, found new owners at an auction organised by Dr. Crott. In particular, at the auction on 15 and 16 November in Frankfurt, one of the first Lange watches of the new era was auctioned off. It was one of the first Lange 1 in yellow gold, dating from 1994 (lot number 634), with a full case back and which fetched 42,700 euros. Worth mentioning is the fact that only a few examples of this model were produced with a solid case back, as it was soon replaced by the sapphire glass porthole case back. Another Lange 1 in steel (lot 35) went for 218,800 euros. In the mid-1990s, only a few pieces made in steel of the Lange 1 were produced by the Saxon company. The case and buckle are made of steel and the hands are blued steel. The movement is the L901.0 manufacture calibre. In addition, another Lange 1 in honey-coloured gold from 2015 (lot number 93) fetched €103,800. Only 20 pieces were produced of this model. It is the latest version of the Lange 1 equipped with the L901.0 calibre. Since 2015, the Lange 1 has been equipped with the calibre L121.1.
