The Chopard Alpine Eagle on preview in Rome

On Saturday 16 November, the Chopard Boutique in Via del Babuino, Rome, hosted the presentation event for the new Alpine Eagle collection, reserved for L'Orologio Club members. On this occasion, which saw the participation of Dody Giussani, Director of L'Orologio, and Simona Zito, General Manager Chopard Italia, guests were able to admire and touch the men's sports watch par excellence, inspired by the famous St. Moritz of the 1980s, and deepen their technical knowledge thanks to the Chopard team. One of the main features of the new timepiece is the quality of the steel used for the case and bracelet, the new Lucent Steel A223 alloy, with a luminosity comparable to gold, dermo-compatible and twice as resistant to abrasion. The Alpine Eagle, available in ten references in steel, gold, a combination of steel and gold, or gold and diamonds, comes in two diameters: 41 and 36 mm (like the St. Moritz), both powered by Cosc-certified manufacture automatic movements. The wrist test of the watch was preceded by an introduction on the brand's core values and the Alpine Eagle line in general. Guests were also treated to a much appreciated light lunch offered by the Boutique. The full report of the event will be published in L'Orologio 283 (December 2019/January 2020).
