Omega for James Bond
Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition

With the arrival in cinemas of the 25th official film in the James Bond saga, No Time To Diescheduled for April 2020, Omega unveiled the new watch that 007 wears in the film. In addition to appearing on the screen, this non-limited edition watch will be available from February in Omega's current collection. The new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition was created with military use in mind and suggestions from Daniel Craig and the producers of 007 also contributed to its design. Omega remained in constant contact with the actor throughout the design phase, drawing on his special knowledge of James Bond to capture the features needed for this watch. Craig's influence and advice played an important role in the final result. The actor stated: "During the collaboration with Omega, we concluded that a lightweight watch would be essential for a military man like 007. I also suggested some colours and vintage touches to give the watch a unique look. The end result is extraordinary. The watch, with its 42 mm case, is made of Grade 2 titanium, a material used for both the case and the bracelet, which features an innovative adjustable buckle. This particularly strong and light material is perfect for a secret agent. To further reduce weight, Omega used 'tropical' brown aluminium for the dial and bezel ring. These elements have been given a classic look thanks to the vintage Super-LumiNova that fills the graduated scale, the hands and the burnished hour markers. On the caseback is a series of numerals echoing the format of authentic military watches. "0552" is the code used to identify Navy personnel, while "923 7697" is the code used for diver's watches. The letter 'A' is a code used to indicate watches with screw-down crowns, while '007' is the iconic James Bond code. Finally, the number '62' is the year of the very first James Bond film. The new watch is completed by a NAIAD LOCK case back that keeps all the engravings correctly aligned. Inside is the Omega calibre 8806 Co-Axial Master Chronometer, which has reached the highest level in the industry in terms of precision, chronometric performance and magnetic resistance. The watch will be distributed from February in Omega Boutiques. It will be completed with a choice of a beautiful titanium mesh bracelet or a dark brown, grey and beige striped NATO strap with 007 engraving on the loop. The watches are presented in an exclusive brown textile case.
